About
In the summer of 2006, I was introduced to Kevin Carroll’s book “Rules of the Red Rubber Ball.” The book opens with a James Michener quote that has been one of my favorites for a very long time:
“The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him, he is always doing both.”
If there is something for each of us to do in this world that doesn’t feel like work, Web design is my thing. The perfect mix of design, problem solving, nerdery, and change.
I built my first Web site in 1997.
I live and work in Metro D.C. by way of corporate relocation from Chicago. I am currently an in-house Web designer at Triple Canopy.
On the subject of "what kind of a name is 'Trevin?'" Simply put: Trevor + Kevin = Trevin. It's kind of a compound name. Or something. That's what they say anyway. When I was a kid, I wanted to be like everyone else, but not so much these days. When someone calls my name, I know they're talking to me. At least so far that's been the case.
I enjoy a good bit of clowning around and, contrary to popular belief, am capable of acting my age.
